Who in the world is this about?

I’m a full-time blogger and social media consultant. And my idea here is to launch a site about my self-empowered fitness challenge. I’m not doing this for anyone else but me. However, I’ve learned that by being open and honest about the feelings and process of recovery, from whatever ails you, is a great way to process what’s going on for me emotionally and physically. And when I share at this level, it often illuminates some of the progress for other people.

If you follow me on other channels, I’m going to try and keep this one focused on body image, fitness, healthy eating, and all the emotional baggage that goes along with our relationship to self, body, fitness, and eating. We often eat for entertainment, or to fill emotional pain. Sometimes we eat because we are bored.

It’s time for me to wake up this final frontier in my healing. I want to date someone more fit than I am, so I need to become the person I imagine I’d like to be with. I wouldn’t look twice at a woman who was packing 20% extra body weight. I’m getting more clear on that. I am overweight. And regardless of how accepting I am of that fact, and how happy I am with my self and self-image, I’m not going to attract the kind of woman I would like to be with at this weight. Sounds superficial at this point, but perhaps the experience is much deeper.

Let’s see where this goes. Join me if you like. Let me know if you resonate with any of my posts. And I’m going to keep sharing about my process and progress. That’s the point, for me. Accountability and integrity about what I’m doing, what I’m feeling, and where I’m struggling.
